Bing’s new Copilot Search offers a more user-friendly search experience

Some time ago, Google introduced a feature called “AI-powered search,” allowing users to receive answers in a text format—similar to interacting with an AI chatbot. Now, Microsoft has rolled out a similar tool called “Copilot Search” on Bing.

The feature was first reported by the website Windows Latest, and it’s now available across all operating systems.

Copilot Search: A Smarter Way to Search on Bing

Copilot Search makes browsing on Bing more intuitive. Depending on your query, answers may be shown as detailed multi-paragraph responses or as key takeaways in bullet-point format. At the end of each Copilot response, source links are displayed as scrollable cards—similar to how Google’s AI organizes its references.

While Copilot Search does a solid job organizing data and delivering clear answers, it’s not flawless. There’s still a chance it might misinterpret or pull in inaccurate info, so it’s a good idea to double-check with the original sources.

This feature is available regardless of your operating system. It’s built directly into the Edge browser, and you can use it by clicking the “Search” button next to the Copilot icon. If you don’t see that option at the top of the page, click the three-dot menu below the search bar and select “Copilot Search” from the dropdown. Chrome users can also access it by clicking the linked Copilot Search button.
