Do you still sometimes call X by its old name, Twitter? You’re not alone—even Elon Musk, the man behind the rebrand, occasionally does the same.
In fact, on Monday, Musk himself referred to the platform as Twitter in a post on X, stating:
“Twitter added far more features with fewer people.”
Musk’s comment came in response to an account praising DOGE, the advisory body he leads, for its work in reducing the federal workforce. Over the weekend, Musk instructed federal employees to submit their weekly performance reports by Monday or risk losing their jobs. However, a government official later clarified that these reports were optional.
“It worked for Twitter,” the account Musk responded to said.
This isn’t the first time Musk has referred to X by its former name, Twitter, and it probably won’t be the last.
