Meta Expands Advantage+ Integration as AI-Powered Ad Tools Deliver Stronger Results

As Meta’s AI-driven ad recommendations continue to show improved performance, the company is now moving to make its Advantage+ AI tools a more deeply integrated part of the ad creation process. Instead of being a separate option, Advantage+ features are increasingly becoming built-in components of the standard campaign setup flow.

Over the past year, Meta has gradually merged more Advantage+ elements into regular campaign creation, ensuring that these automated optimization tools are embedded directly into budgeting, audience selection, and ad placements.

According to Meta’s updated Help page, many Advantage+ settings are now enabled by default for new campaigns. The refreshed interface includes multiple Advantage+ options as part of the basic ad structure, along with Meta’s “Opportunity Score”—a 0–100 rating that indicates how effectively a campaign is configured to achieve optimal results using Meta’s automated optimization systems.

With these changes, advertisers now have more ways to utilize Meta’s AI-based recommendations as part of their everyday workflow. Both Audience targeting and Placements are automatically switched to Advantage+ by default, giving advertisers instant access to AI-optimized targeting without extra steps.

While some brands may feel uneasy about handing over more control to “Meta’s robots,” the data suggests that doing so pays off. Meta reports that advertisers are achieving significantly better performance through these AI-driven tools. In a recent summary of its AI-powered ad improvements, Meta highlighted that its automated systems are now:

  • 4× more efficient at improving ad performance compared to earlier recommendation models

  • 2× more effective at knowledge transfer for broader campaign optimization

  • Faster and more scalable thanks to expanded compute power

Meta also notes that advertisers using its AI recommendations are seeing strong lifts across campaigns, while time spent watching videos on Facebook and Instagram has increased by more than 20% year-over-year, driven largely by improvements in AI ranking systems.

Powered by data from more than 3 billion users, Meta’s AI can analyze massive behavioral patterns and generate predictive models that help forecast which ads will perform best. These AI systems aren’t “thinking” independently; rather, they predict user responses by comparing current inputs to vast historical datasets—making them particularly effective for ad targeting.
