Who Should Choose What?

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 Hits Its Lowest Price Yet as Amazon Undercuts Black Friday Deal

Samsung kicked off its Black Friday promotions last week by discounting the Galaxy Z Fold 7 to $1,599.99, a generous $400 drop from its original launch price. That was already an impressive deal — but Amazon has gone a step further for Thanksgiving shoppers, cutting the price of the Jet Black model to $1,557, marking the foldable’s lowest price since launch.

While this doesn’t push the Fold 7 into budget-phone territory, the savings make Samsung’s latest book-style foldable far more enticing.

A More Refined and Practical Foldable

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is Samsung’s thinnest and most polished large foldable yet. One of the major improvements is its 21:9 cover display, which finally feels like using a standard phone — addressing one of the biggest complaints users had with previous Fold models.

Inside, the updated 8-inch inner screen is even better suited for split-screen multitasking, and the entire device feels noticeably lighter and more balanced in everyday use.

Performance remains uncompromising, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, with storage configurations reaching up to 1TB for heavy users.

Battery and Camera Upgrades

Who Should Choose What?

The 4,400mAh battery performed better than expected in tests, though charging still caps out at 25W, unchanged from earlier models.

Camera upgrades include:

  • A 200MP main sensor borrowed from the Galaxy S25 Ultra

  • A significantly improved ultrawide lens

  • A 3x telephoto camera that surprisingly outperforms the S25 Edge in zoom versatility

Samsung also returned to a traditional punch-hole selfie camera on the inner display — a subtle but appreciated improvement over previous under-display attempts.

Still Not Perfect, but the Best Fold Yet

Despite the progress, some longstanding trade-offs remain:

  • No S Pen support

  • Concerns about long-term durability given the thinness

Still, this is by far Samsung’s most convincing book-style foldable to date.

If the original $2,000 price tag kept you away, the $1,557 deal may be your best opportunity — and you’re unlikely to find it any cheaper before major sales events in 2026.
